At King Geo Tech P/L and Njenkins P/L, we are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how the King Geo Tech Soil Test Reporting System ("the App") collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information. This policy applies to all users of the App and complies with Apple’s App Store Review Guidelines and applicable privacy laws, including Australian privacy regulations.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information when you use the App:
- Personal Information: Email address and user ID provided during account creation to verify your subscription status and enable report generation.
- Site Data: Site details (e.g., address,
GPS coordinates, LOT/DP), ecological, geographical, wind,
and slope ratings, and Standard Penetration Test (SPT)
results entered by you. These are stored on the local
device. This information may be emailed to an email address
set by the user using the devices email client and servers.
- Photos and Media: Site/plan photos,
in-situ plan drawings, and soil sample photos captured at
specific depths, as required for engineering reports and
Australian Standards compliance and stored and communicated
as above.
- Usage Data: We do not collect any information about how you interact with the App, such as features used and time spent etc.
- Device Information: Device type,
operating system, and unique device identifiers to ensure
compatibility and optimize functionality on your iPad.
- Location Data: Precise GPS coordinates of sites, collected only when you enter site details or enable location services for mapping features.
- In the event of a crash and the collection of data for
fixing errors we collect a log file which allows us to fix
the error. The log file contains no personal information but
may contain information about the site as above. Once the
error id fixed the log file will be deleted and wiped from
our servers.
Note: Most data (e.g., site details and
photos) is stored locally on your device and only uploaded to
our servers for report generation or email queuing when you
initiate these actions. Subscription status verification may
require minimal data transmission. If this information is
confidential then we recommend that you protect your device
both physically and cryptographically.
2. How We Collect Information
We collect information in the following ways:
- Directly from You: When you enter site data, upload photos, or create an account with your email and user ID.
- Automatically: Through the App’s use of analytics tools to collect usage and device data.
- Location Services: GPS data is collected
when you enable location services or manually enter site
coordinates but is not communicated to anyone other then
when reports are stored or sent.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information to:
- Provide core App functionality, such as generating soil test reports and enabling offline email queuing.
- Verify your subscription status to ensure access to premium features.
- Improve the App’s performance and user experience through analytics.
- Comply with Australian Standards for soil testing and engineering requirements.
- Respond to customer support requests and provide updates about the App.
4. Sharing Your Information
We do not share your personal information except in the following cases:
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose data if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of King Geo Tech P/L, Njenkins P/L, or others.
- With Your Consent: We may share data if you explicitly consent, such as when sharing reports with third parties via email.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide App services or comply with legal obligations. Site data and photos are stored locally on your device unless uploaded for report generation or email queuing. You may request deletion of your account data by contacting us at support@njenkins.com.au. Upon request, we will securely delete your data, except where retention is required by law.
6. Your Privacy Choices
You have the following rights:
- Access: Request access to the personal information we hold about you.
- Correction: Update your account details via the App’s Settings.
- Deletion: Request deletion of your data as described above.
- Opt-Out: Disable location services or analytics through your device settings.

7. Security
We use industry-standard security measures, including encryption and secure servers, to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such data, please contact us at support@njenkins.com.au, and we will promptly delete it.
9. International Data Transfers
Your data may be transferred to servers outside Australia, such as for cloud storage or analytics. We ensure such transfers comply with Australian Privacy Principles and other applicable laws.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-App notifications. Please review this policy periodically.
